At eBook Creator, we respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal information responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you access or use our website and services at ebook.digitoly.com (collectively, the "Service").
In this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to DIGITOLY CONSULTING, the operator of eBook Creator. "You" refers to any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service, subject to our actual data-processing practices.
1.1 Account Information
When you create or access an account, we may process your email address and, where applicable, your name or other profile information provided through Google sign-in. Authentication is handled through our authentication provider. We do not receive or directly access your Google account password.
1.2 Payment Information
Payments are processed by Razorpay. We may receive transaction identifiers, order references, payment status, and related information necessary to confirm transactions and provide paid features.
Your card, banking, and other payment credentials are handled by the payment provider. We do not intentionally collect or store your full card or bank credentials. Please refer to Razorpay's privacy policy for details about its processing practices.
1.3 Uploaded Files and Book Content
eBook Creator allows you to upload or provide documents and other content for processing and ebook generation. Where processing occurs in your browser, the relevant files are processed locally.
When server-side processing is required to generate paid or other supported output files, the relevant book content is transmitted to our servers for that purpose. According to our stated service design, this content is not retained by us after generation is completed, except where temporary processing, security, backup, or legal requirements necessitate retention.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to upload, process, reproduce, and convert any content you submit.
1.4 Technical and Usage Information
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser types, device information, timestamps, request logs, and error reports. This information may be used to maintain service availability, diagnose technical problems, investigate suspicious activity, and protect the Service against abuse.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above, as applicable, to:
- Create, authenticate, and manage user accounts.
- Provide ebook creation, conversion, and download features.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not currently display advertising on the Service.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
Where required by applicable law, we process personal information on an appropriate legal basis, which may include your consent, the performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as securing and maintaining the Service.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on third-party providers to support essential features and infrastructure. These may include:
- Supabase: Authentication, account-related services, and database infrastructure.
- Vercel: Website hosting and infrastructure.

5. Cookies and Local Storage
The Service may use browser cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies to maintain your session and remember preferences such as language, appearance settings, and reading position.
We do not currently use advertising or behavioral advertising cookies. Technical storage technologies may nevertheless be necessary for authentication, security, and core functionality.
You can manage cookies and certain storage permissions through your browser settings. Disabling essential technologies may affect some features of the Service.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing the Service, maintaining account records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and meeting applicable legal, tax, or accounting requirements.
Account-related and transaction records may be retained for the duration of your account and for any additional period required or permitted by law. Technical logs may be retained for a limited period consistent with security and operational requirements.
Content submitted for ebook generation is handled in accordance with Section 1.3. Any temporary copies, backups, or records held by infrastructure providers may be subject to their retention and deletion practices.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.
However, no website, electronic transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or processed through the Service.
