Which files can I upload?
Word (.docx), PDF and plain text (.txt or .md) files. Scanned PDFs without real text are not supported.
Is it free?
Uploading, previewing, the reader and TXT export are free. Downloading the full set of EPUB, Markdown and print-ready PDF costs $10 per ebook. Some invited authors have free access.
What do I get for $10?
One conversion gives you your book as an EPUB, a Markdown file and a PDF, in the template you picked.
Is my document stored?
No. Your file is processed in your browser. When you generate the paid files, your text is sent to our server only to build them and is not saved. See our Privacy Policy.
Can I see how my book will look first?
Yes. Pick any template and the live preview shows your own title, author and opening text in that design.
How are chapters detected?
From Word “Heading 1” styles, or lines such as “Chapter 1” in PDF and text files. If none are found, the book is split into equal parts.
Which languages are supported?
The site works in English, Hindi, Spanish, French and Arabic, and books can be set in English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Arabic and Japanese.
How do I read an EPUB?
Open it in Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, Calibre or any EPUB reader. For Kindle, use Amazon’s Send to Kindle.
How large can my book be?
Up to about 4 MB of text, which is several hundred thousand words. For larger books, split them into volumes.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes, if a conversion fails or you were charged twice. See our Refund Policy or contact us.
